James R. Walls Contracting Co., Inc. is an 8(a)-certified speciality and general contracting company with a heavy emphasis on quality, custom work. We provide a range of roofing services—new, rework, and repair—as well as custom sheet metal, waterproofing, masonry restoration, windows, and caulking for a wide variety of customers—commercial, industrial, and high end residential. We specialize in most major roofing systems. We are licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Our approach is to team with our customers, employees, and key stakeholders to deliver your job on time, on budget, and with the highest quality. We have retained a core of specialized craftsmen whose skills include roofing, sheet metal, exterior renovation, carpentry, and waterproofing. Most of the foremen have been with the company at least 15 years, and most other employees have been with us at least 5 years which provides continuity, dependability, and quality. All our staff are certified in multiple systems. We hold ongoing training and safety seminars to ensure safety, quality, and workmanship. We also work with manufacturers, material suppliers and trade associations to ensure we remain up-to-date regarding styles, techniques, and manufacturers’ requirements.

Our niche is specialized, cut-up multi-roof type projects for small- to medium-sized jobs but we undertake large jobs when our skill set and customer needs match. We often work closely with consultants and act as a general contractor. We also subcontract from general contractors and other roofing contractors in the area when they don’t have the required expertise.
